Medical Marijuana Consultant Continuing Education Bundles

In order to be compliant for the Washington State Medical Marijuana consultant certification, you must complete a minimum of 10 hours of Continuing Education as mandated by Washington State Law and the Department Of Health.

NOTE: Washington State Continuing Education must be completed before your birthday each year.

Course Description

In order to Renew your Medical Marijuana consultant certification, you must complete 10 hours of continuing education within the following guidelines as mandated by Washington State Law and the Department Of Health:

WAC 246-72-100 Continuing education

(1) Certificate holders must complete a minimum of ten hours of continuing education each year in order to renew the certificate.

(2) Continuing education hours may be earned through seminars, lectures, workshops, and professional conferences. Continuing education credits may be earned through in-person or distance learning. Distance learning includes correspondence courses, webinars, audio/ video broadcasting, audio/video teleconferencing e-learning, or webcasts.

Acceptable topics are:

  • Washington state laws and rules relating to marijuana
  • Science-based information about marijuana
  • Addiction and substance abuse
  • Communication skills
  • Professional ethics and values

(3) Continuing education topics may NOT include:

  • Business and management courses
  • Health care training unrelated to marijuana
  • Any topic unrelated to the practice parameters of a medical marijuana consultant

(4) Continuing education hours will not be carried over from one reporting period to another.

(5) Certificates must be renewed every year on the certificate holder’s birthday. Initial certificates issued within ninety days of the certificate holder’s birthday do not expire until the person’s next birthday.

  • Prior to the certificate expiration date, courtesy renewal notices are mailed to the address on file. Certificate holders must return the renewal notice when renewing their credential. Failure to receive a courtesy renewal notice does not relieve or exempt the renewal requirement.

(6) Renewals

  • The certificate holder must attest to completion of annual certification requirements.
  • Renewal fees are accepted by the department no sooner than ninety days prior to the expiration date.

(7) A certificate holder must maintain records of continuing education completion for at least four years.

The MM411 Inc. Re-certification course includes all ten hours as required by the state with topics that can be chosen by the student. Topics are presented by some of the most well known and respected leaders in the cannabis industry and all fit within the laws specified above.

These Continuing education credits are all earned 100% online and do not require you to travel to a remote location or check in to any live broadcast.

*Note: Only one course bundle (Either A, B, or C – See tabs above) is required to fulfill the 10 hour state requirement for continuing education. Each bundle includes a minimum of 10 hours of continuing education credits.

*Note: To stay certified with the State of Washington, you must be complete your continuing education course before your birthday each year.
